Full Box Chaos League – 30-Pack Commander Build Event

The Full Box Chaos League is a unique, evolving Commander experience that rewards consistent attendance and creative deckbuilding.

We meet every Monday at 6 PM at Subpar Mini Golf in Alameda. Players are expected to support the venue by purchasing at least $10 worth of food or drink during each session.

Each player receives 30 booster packs from current Standard Magic: The Gathering sets. From that pool, you'll build a 100-card Commander deck using either one gold-bordered multicolor legendary creature or two mono-colored legendary creatures with partner. The singleton rule does not apply—use as many copies of a card as you open.

The current set pool includes Murders at Karlov Manor, Outlaws of Thunder Junction, Bloomburrow, Duskmourn: House of Horror, Foundations, Aetherdrift, Dragonstorm, Final Fantasy, Edge of Eternities, and Commander Masters (three packs from each set).

Decks follow color identity rules and are played in traditional four-player Commander pods. There are no prizes for winning—this league is all about fun, deckbuilding, and showing up.

As new Standard-legal sets are released, the oldest set rotates out and the newest set takes its place. For example, when Spiderman is released, it will replace Murders at Karlov Manor in the rotation. Players may also choose to refresh their Commander Masters packs with new ones during each rotation for an additional cost.

Promo packs are awarded at attendance. The more you show up, the more you earn. Those who attend the most will receive a special invitation to our end-of-season Chaos Draft, featuring over 85 sealed packs from 2025 to 2011. Entry to this exclusive draft is just $25.

The cost to join the Full Box Chaos League is $150, which includes your initial 30 booster packs. Future set rotations and Commander Masters refreshes will be available as optional add-ons at posted prices.
